Who we are

Support that's genuinely personal.

Active Ability Support is a community-based disability support provider helping participants live active, connected and fulfilling lives. We focus on real relationships and support that fits around the person — not the other way around.

As an independent provider, we keep things personal: direct communication, consistency where practical, and support built around what each person wants to do — at home and out in the community.

  • Relationship-led

Continuity of support and genuine human connection — not a rotating roster of unfamiliar faces.

  • An active lifestyle focus

Support oriented around movement, community and the activities each person genuinely enjoys.

  • Built around the individual

Every support plan shaped around personal goals, interests and routines — never a one-size-fits-all template.

Why Active Ability

Support built around the person — not the other way around.

We believe disability support should be built around the individual — their interests, goals, preferences and everyday life. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Support worker and participant connecting in the community

Personalised, goal-oriented support

Support built around individual goals — not a generic plan applied to everyone.

Community access & participation

Helping participants get out, take part and stay connected in their community.

Built around interests & everyday life

Support shaped around the activities, interests and everyday experiences each person enjoys.

Consistency & continuity

Continuity of support where practical and agreed — so you work with people who know you.

Respect for choice & dignity

Participant choice, independence, dignity and preferences come first, always.

Clear communication

Open communication with families and support professionals, with appropriate consent.

Meet the Team

The people behind your support

Our team is the heart of Active Ability. When you work with us, here's what you can expect.

Team profiles
coming soon

We're preparing genuine profiles of our team — with consented photographs, accurate roles and a short note on each person's support philosophy. In the meantime, here's what you can expect when working with our team.

  • A friendly, consistent support worker who takes the time to get to know you.
  • Support shaped around your goals, interests and everyday routine.
  • Continuity of support where practical and agreed.
  • Respect for your choices, independence and dignity — always.
  • Clear, direct communication with real people, not call centres.
